Boru is the perfect for your next event, festival or corporate gathering. We have a variety of packages to provide ambience or a complete performance experience for your audience.
Boru includes:
- Multiple Configurations - with seven members, Boru can reconfigure as a duet, trio, quartet or full band to fit your venue and your needs.
- Certified Dancing Master - John Roby of Boru is a certified dance instructor and Contra dance caller.
- Highland Bagpipes - Andy Wilson of Boru is an experienced highland bagpiper player. From Amazing Grace to Auld Lang Syne, add the skirl of the pipes to your next gathering.
- A Non-Denominational Minister - Andy Wilson of Boru is a certified minister available to solemnize your vows.
Wallpaper Music
Add a festive spirit to your next party. Boru unplugged will set the perfect mood. Loud enough to be heard without disrupting conversation, Boru omits the songs and banter in favor of a lively selection of jigs, reels, waltzes and airs.
Interactive Music
Get the whole crowd involved! Boru will lead foot-stomping sing-alongs and teach the crowd to dance. Fun for all ages and skill levels, traditional Contra dancing is similar to square dancing and fun for absolute beginners.
Celtic Weddings
Stage a wedding to remember. Boru provides all the entertainment you need at a price less than many DJ's. The Celtic Wedding Package includes:
- Pre-wedding music in the chapel.
- Highland Bagpipes for the bridal march.
- Airs and special music by request during the ceremony.
- Lively dance music at the reception
- Guided Contra and Scottish Country Dancing at the reception.
- We'll even provide a DJ for the Rock and Roll later.
Galas and Fundraisers
Boru is perfect for dinner events. Our flexible repertoire lets us change the mood through the evening.
We split into two mini bands to play for guests as they arrive.
We play sprightly tunes and sing while the guests mingle over cocktails, then settle into quieter music during dinner. After dessert we play waltzes and dance tunes.
Let us Help
Boru can coordinate all of the music entertainment for your event including special request songs, and additional performers such as Irish and Scottish Dancers, and bagpipe bands. We work with all of the local Celtic Heritage groups. Let us assemble a fun and educational program for your next conference or holiday party.
Technical Stuff
Boru can provide a sound system or play acoustic. If you want amplified sound, there's a small service fee to cover setup and sound check. You can use the sound system for your own announcements and presentations or auctions.
